Last month I posted “My Curated 2022 Book Lists,” and now it’s time to continue my traditional end-of-year roundup of lists.
The creativity level of books and authors remains high, as shown by the variety on these lists, which seem to get more elaborate in their presentation every year. And the titles obviously represent just a small fraction of what’s been published throughout the year. There are perhaps thousands of deserving books that were not considered among the best of 2022.
After journalists won the prestigious Financial Times Business Book of the Year award two years in a row, this year’s awardee is Chris Miller, an Assistant Professor of International History at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, for Chip War: The Fight for the World’s Most Critical Technology.
The following 22 lists are informative, enticing, and entertaining. Do you agree with their choices? What would you add?

Congratulations to the authors on the best of lists, as well as to their publishers, and other hard-working people who contributed to the success of their books: editors, agents, attorneys, accountants, publicists, researchers, cover artists, designers, photographers, indexers, production specialists, assistants, marketers, sales people, and others who don’t always get the credit they deserve.
Happy reading for the rest of 2022 and into 2023!
